Well what a day Sunday was! Thoroughly enjoyed co-commentating alongside Robin Grey for Brighton Women’s FA Cup quarter-final clash with Arsenal.
From start to finish, the game was fast-paced and chaotic… so much so that my exasperated reaction to Fran Kirby narrowly failing to connect with a Carla Camacho cross caused my headphones to break and I was left holding the headphones and mic to my face!😂
But a ‘tangle and change’ — as put by Robin himself — meant a new microphone was plugged in and normal service resumed until the final whistle blew in the 90+10th minute!
And it really was a deserved victory for the Seagulls after an incredibly composed, tenacious and tactically intelligent performance.
Into their third ever FA Cup semi-final💫… truly grateful to have been a part of the coverage for such a historic day.
Attached are some clips from our BBC Radio Sussex co-commentary, including our reactions to Madison Haley and Caitlin Hayes’ goals.
